About Me

I am a US citizen, was born in Germany, and grew up bilingual.

After passing the general university entrance qualification, I successfully attended the Staatliche Fremdsprachenschule in Hamburg, Germany.
I gained over 20 years of international experience in the fields of smoke extraction, fire prevention, and air diffusion in a manufacturing company in Germany and translated technical documents in the context of European standardization.
I work as a translator since 2011 and founded Green Heron Translations LLC in 2012.

I mainly work in the fields of tourism, engineering, business, and IT. I have been translating for for the last 7 years. I am able to translate about 2,500 words per day, depending on the difficulty of the text and the research required.

I work with Microsoft Office Professional and SDL Trados Studio 2021.
